On Saturday February 9, SAC organized the traditional Awards Night in which all winners of carnival 2008 would receive their prizes. Los Laga Bai attended this night to receive (in our eyes) the most important prize of Aruba’s carnival. Both in San Nicolas and Oranjestad, Los Laga Bai took home once more the “Ambiente” prize. We are very proud to having achieved this prize once more and we will be sure to put the award in a nice place.

The second reason why we attended this night was to join Robert Jeand’or in receiving (in our eyes) the other most important prize of Aruba’s carnival. Our house band Robert Jeand’or & Solo Banda Show took away the prize for “Band of the Year” for un unprecedented second year in a row. Robert and his son were there to receive the award. Robert, congratulations from all of us at Los Laga Bai and of course all the participants who agree that you deserve this prize.

Los Laga Bai would also like to thank all the participants for their contribution in making this group one of the best groups for 26 years. To our sponsors we would like to thank all of them for their valuable contribution to Los Laga Bai and therefore Aruba’s carnival.
