And so once again Aruba’s carnival season 2009 has almost come to an end. During the last big weekend of Aruba’s carnival season Los Laga Bai of course on the road again with 505 participants.
During both parada (San Nicolas & Oranjestad) Los Laga Bai’s Trupials showed the public why we are still the number one group for ambiente in Aruba. In both parades Robert Jeand’or put together a repertoire that made all the Trupials dance to the music of carnival. In Oranjestad he even played Tumba four times during the parade. At the end of the parade in Oranjestad, instead of traditionally continuing until the Aruba Ports Authority building the band trailer just stopped in front of the Valero gas station and playing the winning tumba song one last time. The crowd dance to the ritme of tumba and applauded the whole band specially Anoushka Odor who is our Tumba Queen of this year.
Despite the rain and the exessive wind during both parades Los Laga Bai participants made the best of it. I believe we can call this year another very succesful carnival season for Los Laga Bai during the parades. Here are some pictures:
