Twenty (20) years ago Los Laga Bai had to make a choice of who would accompany them during the parades when their former house band (Eclipse) was moving to another group. Roy Nicholson recommended Robert Jeand’or who at that time was famous for his Tumba skills. Robert was also a topnotch musician and a serious and committed person. This is all Los Laga Bai needed to know.

Today, twenty (20) years later, countless “Ambiente” awards for Los Laga Bai and 5 awards for Band of the Year during carnival for Robert Jeand’or & SBS, he is still our house band. Robert & SBS has been behind our best years during Aruba’s carnival. For that reason we are celebrating 20 years of ambiente with the best carnival band in Aruba.

We would like to congratulate Robert and all his band member for this achievement. Today it’s not even possible to find a carnival group that exists for 20 years. We hope Robert & SBS will be our house band for many more years to come.

During the warm up party we honored the ocassion of Robert & SBS’s 20th year with Los Laga Bai with a special present for all the band members. The band received special t-shirt sponsored by Manrique Capriles.
